Yesterday brought us the most recent “forum” between Delgado, Faso and two additional Congressional candidates who are, frankly, insignificant and not worthy of further mention.  You can watch the entire event here:

It’s worth watching, even though it adds little to our understanding of any of the participants.  It’s not a debate, but rather a broken series of statements.

One statement that John Faso made was notable.  In his closing statements he criticized Delgado for moving to the district last year.  “We’ve seen this act before,” he whined.  Yes, we’ve seen that act before…FROM FASO.  He moved to the district from Long Island to run for the State Assembly office of a retiring Republican.  Faso started his political career as a carpetbagger.

These are the kind of petty things Faso and his supporters throw at Delgado, which highlights how thin and shameful his voting record in the House is.  He can’t really talk about any substantive issues, because he voted the wrong way on most of them, supporting laws that damage our citizens and community.

Quite simply, Faso is ridiculous.  It’s bad enough that he lied to the face of an area woman and promised not to take her health care away, then a few months later voted for a bill that would have put her health care in jeopardy–a bill that would have removed protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

Remember that today is FASO FRIDAY so area activists will be gathering in Delhi, Kinderhook and Kingston to protest Faso and let him know what a failure he is.  Also be aware that, in light of the sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, it looks like a large protest might be brewing for Monday in DC (and elsewhere) to express outrage at the grotesque “process” of his confirmation.

Let’s keep working to Fire Feckless Faso and elect Antonio Delgado…
