Every week is a crazy week under the Trump regime, and this was no exception.  Here’s a summary of some of the most important news items from the last couple of days:

–Trump’s disapproval rating hit a new high, 60%, and his approval rating hit a new low, 36%, according to a new ABC/WaPo poll.

–Also, 59% of Independent voters disapprove of Trump’s performance.

–VP Pence says that the GOP will try to repeal the ACA if they do well in the midterms.

–An ex Cambridge Analytica contractor and Manafort associate accused of using illegal foreign money to fund Trump’s inauguration is now cooperating with the Mueller investigation.

–The Trump Inaugural Committee is under investigation.

–A Siena College poll has John Faso at 45% support among likely voters, Antonio Delgado at 40%, with a 4.8% margin of error.

–The NRCC is putting money into the NY-19 race to help Faso.  They know this will be a close race.

–A judge ruled that actress Diane Neal will not be on the NY-19 ballot in November.

Every time Trump’s face comes on television, I want to barf.  His voice and gestures make me sick, and every day is colored by a low-grade undercurrent of anxiety that our nation is being run by an ignorant, lazy, soulless, mean-spirited, thoroughly dishonest carnival barker.  Almost everyone I know also feels plagued with similar dread and Trump fatigue.

There’s only one concrete thing we can do this year as individual citizens to change the course of our politics.  Fire Faso and elect Antonio Delgado.  This will only happen if (1) Faso voters defect and/or don’t come to the polls AND (2) Democrats come to the polls in greater numbers than in past elections and vote for Delgado.

If you’re sitting on the sidelines horrified/dejected/outraged by the Trump regime, and feckless Reps like John Faso who enable Trump, please get involved.  Sign up with the Delgado campaign, or with NY19Votes, or with MoveOn.Org, or with SwingLeft.Org, and help the resistance.  If you’re already involved, bless you…and please don’t let up until the midterms are history.

Let’s keep working to Fire Feckless Faso and elect Antonio Delgado…
