There’s never a dull moment in the Trump presidency. This weekend Trump had yet another Twitter tantrum and lashed out at the usual objects of his paranoia, including the media and members of the Mueller probe. He also bashed former White House counsel Don McGahn who is reportedly cooperating with Mueller—not unlike John Dean’s cooperation with the special counsel during Watergate. Trump actually accused McGahn of being a “rat like John Dean”, Trump being too stupid to realize he was implicitly likening himself to disgraced president Richard Nixon. Trump also compared Mueller to Joseph McCarthy, but McCarthy’s lawyer was Roy Cohn, a close friend and mentor of Donald Trump. You can’t make this stuff up.
Meanwhile John Faso was Tweeting about the packed GOP picnic in Schoharie county (it didn’t look very packed in the picture) as well as a Faso phone bank, which is all a good reminder that while we’re in our little bubble trying to reach voters and build support for Delgado there are people in our district who are working to re-elect Faso. We can’t get complacent or take Democratic momentum for granted. We have to keep working hard to elect Delgado and Fire Feckless Faso. It’s the only way we’ll put a stop to the Trump disaster.
