“The president of the United States is not well. That is an uncomfortable thing to say, but it is an even worse thing to ignore.” — Ezra Klein
After a rambling and impromptu interview with the NYT on the golf course, without staff to manage him, Donald Trump’s mental state and fitness to serve is being questioned by a wide array of political operatives and pundits. We already know he is profoundly self absorbed, insecure and entitled. But his golf course ramblings take his narcissism to a new level, and expose a delusional mind obsessed with fantasies of adulation and dictatorial control. 2018 will be crucial in our fight to resist the malignancy of Trumpism and the actual threat of a deluded, vengeful, unstable president. Only when we flip the House will we be able to investigate, curtail and/or impeach Trump to protect our democracy and preserve what is left of the dignity of his office. Stay energized and never forget that real change starts on a local level with concerned individuals who remain engaged in the political process.
